Santa Monica College is a collaborative effort that is supported by both academic and student affairs. The Center maintains a “student first” philosophy to assist first-time SMC students as they transition to college. The Center offers a wide array of student services designed to accommodate their needs in a “One-Stop Center” that promotes student success and retention in a nurturing and welcoming environment. The Welcome Center staff will continue to support new students until they have successfully transitioned to other academic and student support services
